I do not want James Harden on the 76ers next season. Would I be mad if the Sixers signed him? No, but do I want him? No.
Where is the consistency?
Harden has shown me nothing this postseason that makes me want him for next season. Yes, he had a crazy 45-point game and a 42-point game. But those games don't mean anything when you play like dogwater in the other games throughout the series. It is the inconsistency that pisses me off. In one game, he will have a career high in points and attack the rim like a Houston Stripclub. Other games, he will have 10 points and 8 turnovers and be scared to even look at the basket. Where is the consistency? Year after year, you see playmakers on teams that absolutely kill it in the playoffs. People like Jason Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Devin Booker, and Jamal Murray all step up in the playoffs. Not only do they step it up, they play every game in the series like it is their last game. So why can't James harden?
I understand the dude is 33 years old, but if he is still clubbing like he used to, he should be able to ball like he used to, and he has shown that he can. but I can't watch another Sixers postseason with Harden foul searching while everyone else stands and watches. Not only do we need a player that can takeover a game with Embiid, but we also need our support players to step up. Tobias Harris looked pretty good throughout the postseason, but I don't understand why he doesn't attack more. He can look unstoppable when he drives to the rim. That, along with his defense, has been huge for the Sixers, but the fact is they are paying the man way too much. There are going to be major changes to the Sixers this offseason, and only time will tell if we can become a championship team.
